Storied In Clay
THE NEW HAMPSHIRE POTTERS GUILD IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE 2022 BIENNIAL EXHIBITION September 24 - October 28 at the League of NH Craftsmen Concord, NH
THEME
The theme, Storied In Clay is left to interpretation. It might be a political, social or a more personal statement. It might be the story behind a single piece or a narrative around a body of work. It could also be a comment about the origins of clay and the simple forms and artifacts that told the first stories in clay.
All NH Potters’ Guild members are invited to submit work to- Storied In Clay, the Guild’s 2022 Biennial Exhibition at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Gallery 49 S Main Street Concord, NH
Eligibility
Open to all current paid members of the NH Potters’ Guild. Membership/dues can be paid at: https://www.nhpottersguild.org/online-membership-form
All members who enter will have at least one work included in the show and two if space permits. The Biennial exhibition is not juried. Wall works must have D-rings and/or be wired for hanging and are encouraged. No nails or screws. A short artist statement can be included with the label. Please include this
Entry Fee and Deadline
There will be an entry fee of $30.00 for up to TWO entries per member. The fee is non-refundable and must accompany the entry form. Entry deadline is August 1st.
Sales
All work must be for sale. The League of NH Craftsmen retains the following commissions;
40% for sales up to $1,000.00 per piece
30% for sales over $1,000.00 per piece
Delivery
All work must be delivered to the League of NH Craftsmen 49 S Main St, Concord, NH 03301 See dates below. All work must be ready to install and clearly labeled. For questions please call 603-224-3375 ext 0
Pick Up
All unsold work must be picked up at the gallery Mon – Thurs, Oct 31 – Nov 3 from 9 AM to 4 PM
If alternative pick up arrangements are needed, please call 603-224-3375 ext 0 for assistance. Work left after Nov 3rd will be considered abandoned and disposed of at the Guild’s discretion.
Insurance
All work will be insured by LNHC for its declared value from the date of delivery through the closing day. Artists are responsible for insurance while work is in transit.

Drop off dates:
Mon – Thurs, Sept 5-8 from 9 AM to 4 PM
Mon – Thurs, Sept 12-15 from 9 AM to 4 PM

Opening Reception:
Saturday, Sept 24th from 4- 6:30 PM (overlaps with the open hours of the Capital Arts Fest, which will run 10 AM – 5 PM on the 24th)
Open Hours for Exhibition:
Sat, Sept 24 10 AM – 6:30 PM
Sun, Sept 25 10 AM – 4 PM
Regular gallery hours:
Mon – Th 12 PM – 4 PM from September 27 thru October 27
Pick Up dates:
Mon – Thurs, Oct 31 – Nov 3 from 9 AM to 4 PM

Volunteers: are needed to staff the Exhibition Gallery space

Volunteers will greet guests and answer questions. League staff is available to assist with gallery sales.

Submitting Title Card Information:
This is done online via the League’s website.

Title card information will allow the League to generate information to be reviewed and signed at drop off and pick up, as well as the title cards to be hung with the pieces. You can also add an artist statement here that can be displayed with the pieces.
