I first touched clay in high school.  I was drawn to the interaction of the clay and my hands. The plastic nature of the clay was the first attraction. That I can envision something and mold the clay to bring that vision to life still fascinates me. The clay and I have a conversation, come to an understanding and the results are an expression of my spirit.

I am a high school art teacher. Most of my students are just fulfilling a graduation requirement, nevertheless, I love what I do, both the making and the teaching. My hope is that my students will come to a greater appreciation of art and what they learn will inspire them to include art in their lives.
