Bio
My forms and work pay homage to the mid-century potters who began the American Ceramic Studio movement when clay transcended function and became recognized as fine art by the close of the 20th century. Influenced by the Bauhaus movement and Marguerite Wildenhain, my first focus was creating the perfect pot. Over time, my forms have become became more relaxed, but at the end of the day, using a term that was popular in the post-industrial age, I am a vessel maker.
